Professional Program Section
What is Tamils in Finance Professional Mentorship Program?
Connecting senior executives with emerging professionals for six months of peer mentorship. Peer mentoring involves professional mentors sharing their experiences, skills, and knowledge in an informal setting.
Benefits of the program include:
- Gain a senior mentor’s support, guidance, and feedback while working on your career developmental goals.
- Orientation and goal-setting session.
- Networking event opportunities – including speed networking events to enrich our matching process and the TiF Inaugural Industry Mixer.
- Learning forums will help you gain valuable insights into the finance industry, its structure, and how to navigate it.
- Expand your industry network within the finance industry, enhance your visibility, and learn about different areas by widening your network.
- Facilitating connections between Tamil in Finance and promoting community within the Finance Industry.
ELIGIBILITY:
MENTOR ELIGIBILITY:
- + 10 years of experience in the finance industry
- Currently employed in the finance industry;
- A Tamils in Finance member;
- Mentors are engaged and committed to being available for monthly meetings.
MENTEE ELIGIBILITY:
- 1 – 10 years of experience in the finance industry
- Currently employed in the finance industry;
- A Tamils in Finance member;
- Mentees are engaged and committed to being available for monthly meetings.
- Absolute commitment to managing the mentorship relationship, including ownership and coordination of monthly meetings.
- An understanding of career goals over the next 1-3 years and determined reasons for seeking a mentor relationship;
PAIRING PROCESS:
- A bespoke pairing process will include a questionnaire, a speed networking event, and peer interviews.
